Lydey Automation was founded in 1976 as Lydey Air Controls by Donald and Valerie Lydey. Donald, a Navy veteran and pneumatic automation salesman, and Valerie, a registered nurse, started the company in the basement of their Lambertville, Michigan home. Originally a stocking distributor for Numatics valves, the company quickly expanded into a broader range of automation technologies.
Today, Lydey Automation is owned by their sons, Dan and Jake Lydey, and focuses on delivering high-tech solutions across pneumatic automation, robotics and electric motion, machine safety, vision and sensing, and industrial controls.
